It was a bright morning and for the first time in a few days there was some blue sky. However it was deceptive as a harsh cold wind blew and my poor fingers froze even with gloves on. I had pulled into the layby as the tide was high and the waders were quite close to shore, I spent ages watching and snapping the curlew and lapwings. The brent geese were noisy and kept flying back and forth. As the tide went out a large flock of redshanks or maybe godwits arrived, not sure which…………LOL perhaps someone can confirm when I upload a photo of them. However in between taking photos I left the car running with the heater on and every 5 to 10 minutes I had to sit in the car to thaw my fingers out. I paid the price this weekend as I have been suffering with my arthritis and my hands have been swollen and sore. So I shall just be uploading a couple tonight as they still hurt. It’s a real challenge for me trying to capture the brent geese as they fly overhead I keep trying to improve on previous shots. I think this is my best one to date.
I have included a link to a couple of videos I made of my morning, if you watch them may I suggest muting the sound as the wind was really blowy. Please forgive them being a little shaky too only my hands were so cold and the wind was trying to blow my camera out of my hands.
