Borage Plant
Borago officinalis

Flowers and seeds have a delicate cucumber flavour – perfect in salads or pop a flower or two into your Pimms! In the alternative, steep flowers in boiling water to make a wonderfully restorative tea.

Very showy blue flowers that attract bees and butterflies.

Whilst the flowers and seeds of Borage are safe for human consumption, recent research has indicated that the leaves and stems contain compounds that may cause liver damage – so the eating of Borage leaves and stems should be avoided. We must reiterate that the flowers and seed of Borage are safe for internal consumption.
