This stained glass window is inside the beautiful church of St Nicholas at Blakeney on the North Norfolk coast.
No. 234 Squadron RAF was officially formed on 20 August 1918 at RNAS Tresco in the Isles of Silly.
The window was designed by Jane Gray, in 2000. Jane’s stunning work can be found on Wikipedia
From a little research it appears the window commemorates Battle of Britain Spitfire pilot Air Commodore Ernest Waite ‘Bertie’ Wootten of 234 Squadron R.A.F. He was commander of RAF Coltishall, Norfolk from April 1943
