Artist's Description

This carving was made by Mr Drew of Ipswich in 1947 and was designed from the medieval fragments found in the Chancel Wall inside St Mary’s Church, Kettlebaston, Suffolk in 1864. The carving represents ‘The Coronation of the Queen of Heaven’. I was unable to get a decent image of the lady so concentrated on the King ( whom I understand to be God the Father ). The carving now rests inside a glass case on the outside of the South-east buttress in a ogee-shaped arch. The niche was apparently designed in the buttress in 1363.
The information is from the guide book by Roy Tricker

Above is how the photograph would look as a Framed Print
