Menu for my Ears

Scanning the menu for my ears
To satisfy
But one part of the stars in my eyes
Travelling the bumpiness of a mosaic road
Shining remnants of forgotten dreams
Elements combining emptiness in my cup
Setting it free to be filled
Untying the knots in my stomach
Slowly pulling out the thorns from my paws
The teachings tattooed to my tissue
As I go through my system
Opening and closing doors
Not aware of being alone
Until I come to that file
I’m sure I had put it in the recycling bin
Yet like a virus
It hid
Surfacing when triggered
I must have been low on energy
When I let it back in
Playing the game
Until the last bright light
Of shock
Of love, of terror or peace
Another moment
To breathe through my teeth
I scan the menu
As though I have an appetite
It seems no-one notices the frozen dejavu
No-one hears the repeat beep
As it wasn’t on the menu
