Zombieland Fact- Strange but True...

  • To those who’ve not seen Zombieland and would still like the mystery of finding out what their reason Zombies came to life- THEN READ NO FURTHER.*
In Zombieland they give the most accurate and scarily possible answer to when people go Zombie. Some time ago, the news reported on a strange disease amongst cattle.

They called it Mad Cow Disease. The cause at the time wasn’t clear. And further reports were not widely reported, which is interesting.
The cause wasn’t clear til a stranded group of survivors from a plane crash were found in a remote tundra mountain top.
They existed signs of _ paranoia, increased rage, and psychotic features that were once sworn to not exist in them._
Studies were done, and questionings went on.
The story goes that one of the passengers died on impact and to survive their environment- they ate this person.
Cannibalism- it seems causes you to go into a “zombie” like state.
The Amazonian type women of Fiji practiced it for years. If you strayed into their territory, they were very hospitable and would feed you the fruit of their land,Kava-Kava root. Kava- Kava root, in mild form can calm the nerves and induce a mild happy state. But pure form would send the person into hallucinogenic state and paralyze them for hours. Upon which the Fijian women would boil them alive.

Fact:Mad Cow disease happens when you injest meat that is of your own genetic makeup. I.E. human meat.Your body changes as this meat is consumed, turning your own protein building agents in upon itself. It confuses your own organs and muscles as food and attacks them trying to feed. You begin to crave more and more human meat to stop this from happening. You become aggressive, even violent, have full blown schizo-psychotic breaks with reality. Without looking the part, you become in reality a zombie.

I don’t know yet, at this time, if they ever cured those survivors or the following victims that ate the tainted cow meat.
But- this “Zombie” disease really does exist.

On a purely opinionated note about the movie overall. I loved it.
It had classic horror techniques used first in Army of Darkness.
It also was sobering when their were moments when you saw them struggle with this devastation. It even has those nail biting moments when you really don’t know what’s gonna happen, and in the end I did get watery eyed on the moral.
