Justice: What It Is?

Control, I’m told can be bought or sold
With the weight of gold that’s just as cold
As your inability to see the powers that be
That fight for you but not for me
Is it just not to trust
A wrinkled shirt and dirty cuffs?
Does it define me?
Blind me?
Or draw a line behind me?
Well if it does it’s just because
Fear is what it was
That caused your eyes to roll
And to do what you were told
But your opinion’s getting old
Who’s running the show?
It ain’t you don’t you know?
The one who makes decisions
Goes back and makes revisions
While your on your vacations
All the news that’s fit to print
Is wherever Brittany’s being sent
Straight to jail or straight to hell
Front page news as long as it sells
Flash the cash and come inside
While justice takes you for a ride
After all your just a sub
New member in the club
Kickin’ ass and taking names
Pointing fingers
Placing blames
Get to the top and what have you got?
Nothing but fear of losing your spot
A word to the wise
Keep your eyes on the prize
Always heed the cries of the one’s whose justice has been denied

Artist's Description

If justice was as popular as Brittany Spears albums we might not have to depend on politicians to argue over how best to police us. Peace and love would be number 1 with a bullet.
