I was in my version of photographers heaven when a work trip to China found me in Beijing for a 24hr stop over. A few hours shopping at the silk Rd markets then a trip to Tiananmen Square in the arvo then I spent 7 hours wandering around the Forbidden Palace and the back streets of the surrounding area by myself, getting lost and not really caring as long as I could trust my sense of direction to get me back to my hotel.
This was shot on the outside wall of the Forbidden Palace on the north side as the path take you around to the lake that surrounds the area. The green of the grass was so vivid against the coldness of the stony blue walls. The brooms where left there by the groundsman tending the area. It just begged to be photographed!!
