Dreaming Nightmare.

Lost in contemplative guise,
To separate the true from the wise,
Apparently absent in meager quest,
A jest for mindless men!
Oh savour sweet innocense that binds,
Never paying attention or mind,
Of regret and pretentious banter,
This laughter does not free.
Yet I delve in selfless pity,
Wrought with woe that nitty gritty,
Tumbled under sheets of rain,
The pain shall not stop.
To the sun with your hopes,
Your dreams have met their fullest scope,
And in this realm of fetid thought,
I sought something more.
Be what carries away from sand,
In waves that crash away from land,
The cold and wet shall not permit,
A hermits lonely hand.
The laughter rings with the insane,
Brought forth from anger and heated pain,
Yet I awake from sleepless slumber,
To lumber past that shore.
Once on the grass away from wave,
I know my soul I have saved,
Not because of power and might,
But the light that shines in all.
I lie here breathing heavy gasps,
Tearing at my shirt and clasps,
To free my chest from tightening grip,
I slip again into dream.

Dreaming Nightmare.
