Painted Picture.

If I painted a picture,
Of colours in life,
I would add a rainbow,
To cover up the strife.
I would paint a meadow,
Of deep emerald green,
Painted for barefoot walking,
In love’s sweet ravine.
I would add a tree,
Tall as the cloudless sky,
With branches made for climbing,
Children’s hands always nearby.
I would paint a river,
Clear and clean as glass,
To cool off heated bodies,
And wash off stains of grass.
I would paint the morning,
Dew drops as silver jewels,
Air as fresh as sunlight,
Without daydrum rules.
And with my brush I would paint,
All of us inside,
Enjoying the pretty colours,
With arms painted wide.

Painted Picture.
