Living Night.

Silent is the darkest sky,
Stars make holes in black,
Wind rushes to get home,
And trees whisper back.

The moon tries to light the world,
Not strong as the sun,
Just enough to help the fox,
Cast off it’s daylight shun.

The fireflies try so hard,
To be stars flying past,
In the dark they can be seen,
The flickering light they cast.

The owl’s call seems louder,
To the mouse that looks for seed,
Scurrying all around,
Hoping to find some feed.

So many living creatures,
In night’s cold embrace,
Living past the brightest day,
For the night to show it’s grace.

Living Night.
