The Letter.

Sent back to me, returned address,
That letter meant for you.
Unopened, untouched, it was left,
Still sealed and unread.

I keep the letter, always with me,
And someday will post again.
I think I need you to finally see,
I am ok without you.

The letter speaks of strength and pride,
The letter you didn’t read.
It drones on with nothing to hide,
Left in the envelope.

You would have been quite proud,
To see I have moved on.
I am not a face left in the crowd,
The letter proved it so.

I spent days composing the letter,
That you didn’t read.
I had hoped it would make it better,
But I guess it isn’t so.

Am I really this pathetic?

The Letter.
