Monster Love.

Ever the ghoul,
Lost to one,
Always the fool.
Giver of fates,
Destiny shrivels,
Lost in the hate,
And lonliness.

Monsters abound,
Under your bed,
Wants to be found.
Though scary it yearns,
For your lovely screams.
Something it learned,
From having no one.

Look for the ghost,
Alone in the house,
Sadder than most,
Cause it can’t leave.
Hold out your hand,
Touch an ethereal sleeve,
They smile when loved.

Consider the troll,
Under a bridge,
Or down a hole.
No friends to share,
A simple meal.
It lives without care,
but doesn’t want to.

So many creatures
Hidden and scared,
With repulsive features,
But still with a heart,
Ever ridiculed,
Always apart,
Sobbing mournful moans.

Monster Love.
