Kilpack is an award-winning novelist and has directed marketing efforts for companies ranging from startups to $350-million tech companies to Inc. 500 companies. He is also an accomplished cook. He received his BA and master's degrees from Westminster University. He was also a high-performing athlete, qualifying for international competition in Greco-Roman wrestling. He is a communication professor and a nationally recognized wrestling coach.
