Artist's Description

Were they plastered,
To the side of his leathery head,
These denizens of the river bank,
Could be no more a jewel.
Resting for the evening,
Looking like the bed of a faery,
Perched atop the spindly stem,
The ear flops in the slightest air,
Wrapped in intense green,
And resplendent with dignity,
And elephant ear, is just the thing for me!
