Artist's Description

This is an original acrylic painting measuring 24 × 16 inches that I sold in 2011. I became slightly obsessed with Gustav Klimt’s frieze designs for The Palais Stoclet in Brussels after seeing some of his other work at The Tate Liverpool back in 2009. I particularly like the central image, the Tree of Life, so decided to do something influenced by that. Trees are also a bit of an obsession for me! I called it Zebedee Tree because, for some reason, it reminds me of The Magic Roundabout.
