Prayer of a Solider's wife

I don’t know what i’m doing,
I’m going insane,
Sick with worry,
I hope you’re still alive.
I haven’t got a letter,
A phone call or an e-mail,
I’m stuck sitting here,
Wondering if you’ve left me.
Alone I sit, Cold and upset,
Your picture is on the mantle,
I can’t help but stare.
Your side of the bed is empty,
My heart is sick with worry,
My mind is playing tricks with me,
I haven’t moved on.
Hope is all I have now,
That i will hear from you soon.
Seeing on the news today,
“Another Solider dead in explosion”
Was it you?
How can I sit here,
Go about my daily life,
Deal with school and work,
While I don’t know where you are.
Give me a sign,
Lord give me strength,
Give me peace of mind,
Give me joy.
Lord I pray that everything’s alright,
I hope all is not lost.
I ask that you watch over them,
Especially the one close to my heart.
You are my strong tower,
You are my protection,
Now I ask you send your angels,
To guard those who risk their lives.

Baby listen to my prayer,
I miss you dearly,
Honey listen to your heart,
And never lose your way.
Sweetie I hope you don’t lose faith,
And Your mind is on your work,
I’ll be here when you get home,
Hopefully sometime soon.
