Drinking you

A wise man once told me
Never eat food that’s been cooked
While listening to Morrissey.

And if you get this you’ll understand
That drinking your coffee
Is drinking you.

It’s a secret magic by which
I can taste who you are.

And somehow I remember.

I’m not stealing you,
It’s your job to keep
Your customers happy.

This comes for free,
And everyone else is
Too jacked up to notice.

The army of adrenal vampires
Advances all day

While you give yourself away.

My tongue seeks out the last drops,
Not wanting it to be over.

Your essence is my elixir.
Any way you want to serve it

I’ll drink you.

Drinking you

Artist's Description

no, i’m not obsessing, i just had two things to say so i wrote two poems. in the same day. about the same guy. ok, so maybe a little bit. may as well get it over with.

i still say its the only coffee that’s worth paying $3.30 for.

note: debates with Morrissey/The Smiths fans will not be entered into ;-p
