Artist's Description

Mosquitoes

The premier low level strike aircraft of WW2 the Mosquito was used extensively by the RAF in a variety of roles. Constructed largely of wood the Mosquito had a sparkling performance at both high and low altitude outrunning many of the opposing Luftwaffe fighters.

Seen here in a low-level cross Channel dash for a quick strike on Occupied Europe the Mosquito is ‘kept’ alive’ by this superb New Zealand rebuild currently flying in the US and Canada.
