Artist's Description

This beauty is also in my garden and does a wonderful job. Here is some more information about the plant:
Native to India, Tibet and China these favorites from old English gardens are winning approval in this country for their showy flowers and relative hardiness. Known as Hardy Gloxinias, although actually related to trumpet vines, not gloxinias, Incarvillea produces attractive clumps of deeply divided leaves. From these, 12-24" tall stems showcase clusters of exotic magenta to pink trumpet-shaped blooms with lemon throats. These are fine additions to mixed borders and rock gardens and are not grown as widely as they deserve to be.
Common Name:
Hardy Gloxinia

Botanical Name:
Incarvillea
Colors:
Bright magenta to rosy pin
