Artist's Description

The Central Coast of California is dotted with spectacular views, broad sweeping vistas, and a coastal headland area where the cliffs drop sharply into the sea. Pigeon Point Lighthouse was named after a ship that wrecked at that point in 1853… the ship’s name was “Carrier Pigeon”. Today the light station sits alone helping guide other ships past the fingers of land that are reaching out to grab them and dash them on the rocks below. Its location (just south of Pescadero) is isolated in the best of times, and breath-taking in times of storms. Sitting in the rain waiting for that moment can give you a sense of being one with nature.
