New Moon

Why must you leave me?
In such bitter surroundings…
Clutching at the bracken,
In an ever darkening forest.
Waiting for your return,
When I know you’ll never come.

Why do you wrap me in his arms?
I long for him to touch me,
To pull me down into his safety…
For you are a distant memory,
But I still feel your icy touch…
And long for the transformation,
Your glittering teeth may bring.

Why is your mind…
Entangled in my thoughts?
Your beautiful voice,
Clouding my horizon…
Pushing me into the black murky depths…
Flicking flame coats the darkness.

Let your snow capped teeth,
Rip apart my throat
Taste the sweetened blood…
You have longed for since we met.
Pulse through my veins,
Leave yourself without control…
For I’d rather lose my soul for an eternity
Than spend my mortal life without you.
