My friend was studying law a few years ago , and she couldn’t help but keep saying how crazy it all was . I think this is how St Just must have been feeling when he commented : ‘The present order is disorder made into laws’ . These situations lead to revolution , but revolutions can occur without buildings being burned down too , and sometimes they can be so discrete that no one even notices , as corrupt officials are quietly removed , and others with more integrity take over . What I’m trying to say is that while systems of law vary in detail around the world , the consensus is that justice is actually done . As long as the prevailing desire is for justice to be done , then in the long run it will ; human beings are not stupid , and are less likely to be duped nowadays than ever before ! I’m not trying to say that everything is very well , and that injustices don’t occur ; believe me , they do too , and I do know it ; I just believe that the world and it’s people are gradually getting to grips with all that red tape , and I believe that in the long run sanity will prevail , despite the omnipresent black picture . People are fair at heart .
I don’t know if Andrea became a lawyer , but if so , then I’m sure she’s the most formidable in town ; doing a grand job !
