Artist's Description

The Henley Street Bridge in downtown Knoxville TN is one of two traffic bridges that connect South Knoxville to the rest of the city. Construction began on this bridge September 22, 1930 and it opened to traffic in January, 1932. The yearly Boomsday fireworks celebration is launched from this bridge and is complete with spectacular reflections off the water of the Tennessee River. This particular shot is taken from the south bank of the river.
