Artist's Description

I am dedicating this to all our men and women that are proudly serving our country.
Johnstown, Pennsylvania-USA

This is a special photo for me.
This is a picture of my son Ben (2nd to the bottom right) and his company from Johnstown, Pennsylvania Army National Guard taken in 2005, where they served in Iraq. Ben earned a medal of commendation when the first tank, where he normally was, hit an IED and his sgt. was killed. Ben ran out in enemy fire to his aid but sadly it was too late. I prayed for his safety the whole time he was gone. And I know the Lord answered this mother’s prayer, although his sgt. lost his life trying to defend our country against enemy terrorists. This is to thank all our military who are giving a great sacrifice in protecting America, which so many have taken for granted. I am proud of all our men, women, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters who still feel that this country is worth fighting for. Because of these unselfish people, we are free to celebrate another Memorial Day which is to remember those who fought and died to give us freedom. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” Jn. 15:13
