Up at 5:30 AM … to the lake at 5:45 AM.
Rubbing sleep from my eyes and wondering why sunrises couldn’t happen at a more decent hour, I looked over the lake and just stopped short and basically repeated this title again and again.
The previous evening it had been choppy and I’d had to use the black glass to calm it a bit, but this morning it was just so still, that it became a mirror.
With those fantastic rain clouds above, it was all still a bit grey and so I changed the camera WB to a little blue (Flourescent) and got this.
Sigma 10-20mm at 13mm
f/8 at 1/45 secs. ISO 100. WB: Flourescent
HiTech 3 Stop Grad ND (Soft)
Almost straight out of the camera (had to level it a bit as I apparently stand with my left shoulder sloping a bit). Then added Unsharp mask, hid 2 dust bunnies and saved to jpeg.
