This roofless abandoned house is in a field below Slieve Binnian in the Mourne mountains, in County Down. At 747m Slieve Binnian is the third highest mountain in N. Ireland.
The house was built of granite – the local stone.
We were passing on our way to climb Slieve Binnian. The footpath is just the other side of the dry-stone wall at the edge of the field. Unfortunately by the time we got to the top the glorious blue sky had given way to different quite weather conditions
I couldn’t resist photographing this house on the way past. I also shot a panorama from this spot which I will upload later.

Imagine there’s no Heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
The title of this image was altered (from just “Above us Only Sky” ) and the above verse added for the sake of the Sing it to Me challenge. The house image was placed in the top-ten in the challenge.
