Glenagivney is the more remote of the two glens, or valleys, that open into "Kinnagoe Bay (Click to see my collection of Kinnagoe prints)":http://www.redbubble.com/people/VeryIreland/shop/kinnagoe+canvas-prints on the North East coast of the Inishowen Peninsula in North "Donegal(click to see my collection of Donegal prints)":http://www.redbubble.com/people/VeryIreland/shop/donegal+photography+canvas-prints They are separated by a rocky promontory and each is fronted by a sandy beach strewn with boulders. Glenagivney beach can be reached either by scrambling down an overgrown path from the hill side above or by walking the length of the other beach and clambering over the rocks that divide the two beaches. Either way it is worth the effort. On a sunny summer afternoon you might find one other party of visitors joining you - but there is a good chance that you will have the place to yourself. What is even better is that this sheltered sun-trap of a beach has its own local climate. On a typical Irish July day when it rains inland the beach here will often be dry and sunny. *History of this Image on RedBubble*   # *30 th July 2016* View Count has reached "5,005(see my other photographs that have been viewed 5,000 or more times)":http://www.redbubble.com/people/VeryIreland/portfolio/5000+views   # *30 th November 2014* View Count reached "4,000(see my other photographs that have been viewed more than 4,000 times)":http://www.redbubble.com/people/VeryIreland/portfolio/4000   # *5 th January 2014* View Count reached "3,000(see my other photographs that have been viewed more than 3,000 times)":http://www.redbubble.com/people/VeryIreland/portfolio/3000   # *sometime in 2013* View Count reached "2,005(see my other photographs that have been viewed more than 2,000 times)":http://www.redbubble.com/people/VeryIreland/portfolio/2000   # *30th November 2011* featured in "Artists universe":http://www.redbubble.com/groups/artists-universe/featured_works?page=2   # *27th November 2011* view count reached 503   # *12th March 2011* it had been viewed 100 times   # *28th Dec 2010* photograph was uploaded to RedBubble   *Techie Photographic Detail* This square panoramic image was created by combining 9 separate digital photographs covering every angle of the view.   The source images were shot on a Canon EOS 5D with a 16 mm fisheye lens and stitched and blended together using Hugin (a free open source program).   Because of the way that it was created this is a *very* high resolution image (the equivalent of about 80-megapixels). It is capable of delivering very fine detail even when printed at massive sizes.   I have written a short journal entry introducing the method by which these panoramas are created, it is called: "“Creating a Stereographic Panorama - the Basic Idea”":http://www.redbubble.com/people/veryireland/journal/5097518-creating-a-stereographic-panorama-the-basic-idea
