Never enough

Once and not so long ago
she lost one
not so bold, nor so young
she lost one

Not the half, nor the whole
like a shade over the sun
and the soul she used to hold
now another one is gone

Once she knew how to survive
she made worth it to go on
now the wise part’s gone away
can another one be gone?

She can’t make it, falls to pieces
no one’s left to hold behind
now the words are only whispers
like the shadows catch the light

Her sanctuary is shiny
no one leaves her all alone
they don’t fear her, but her thoughts
all the childish, stupid visions
and the dream she left behind

They don’t know her
they don’t feel her
not enough to see she’s gone
as another one is broken
but the appearence still is all

Try to smile and seem alive
after all you own so much
stop the play and try to grow
it’s in your head, child, no more

Could it be the truth she wonders
Could it be that I am blind
maybe only years will tell me
I’ve been acting like a child

Never enough

Artist's Description

I don’t like this. I like the concept, but not how I put it down in words.
