“I paint for the sheer pleasure of watching images emerge on the paper and find it thrilling when a picture demands attention.”

I started painting in watercolour at the end of 2009. I occasionally work in oils, but watercolour is my preferred medium.

Although I grew up in South Africa, I now lives in Whittlesford, Cambridgeshire. Africa still influences my painting in discernable ways: I loves strong colours and aim to capture a sense of space or scale in my work. Recent works have also moved towards including textures in my watercolours to emphasise mood and create a dynamic element.

My works are part of private collections in the United Kingdom, United States, France, New Zealand and South Africa.

My works are included in various exhibitions in the United Kingdom from time to time. Details of upcoming exhibitions and events can be found on my website.

I blogs at If you are interested in buying originals of any of my work, please contact me via her website. In 2011 and 2012 I supported Help for Heroes through my painting sales. As from the beginning of 2013, all the profits from my Red Bubble sales are donated to Care for Casualties.

Tables turned - an interview with an artist

I was honoured today to be interviewed by American artist, Helen K Beacham on her blog. Helen is a teacher and a respected artist, and I am thrilled to have been introduced to her readers. I posted some thoughts on the interview.
