Everyone Here Dies Alone

Why are you waiting? I’ll call you my friend.
Why is the sky so alone?
Who killed the Baron and started to mend
A city that nobody knows?

Send forth the archers and save the front line,
Barely a quiver and bow.
Silence ensues as the riders remove
Their heads and they fall to the snow.

Fill up the kettle, the doctor is here.
Smear off the dust on the shelf.
An apple, an apple rolls under the door.
The doctor just talks to himself.

Empty the buckets, the grain falls like snow.
Fill up the stores as it rains.
The storm winds outside are beginning to blow
As the Autumn leaves dust o’er plains.

Someone is standing atop of a wire,
Ravenous birds overhead.
Walk in reverse, just as we had rehearsed,
And together fall into your bed.

Something is waiting, it can’t be let go
Sorry to leave you my friends.
I’ll walk to the end of the Earth on my own
But I promise we’ll meet at the end.
