Liquid Sovereignty
full sovereignty
complete power to hold
life with freedom
belief without reason
I’m standing on the dead direction
marking my day with the old tag
feeling utterly exhausted
hopelesss
the thoughts scattered in all directions
It’s hopeless trying to convince myself
I felt that life was a hopeless mess
I glanced briefly down the situation
at first glance the problem seemed easy
I cast a furtive glance over my shoulder
a neon sign flashed on and off above the door
I was under the misapprehension that
the situation was changed
I walked away without a backward glance
It seemed, I’m making great strides in the search for a cure
a cure for poverty
a cure for starving children
half starved soul
a cure for they were left to starve to death
a cure for homeless people
a cure for bad situation
a cure for child labour
a need for greater concentration on environmental issues
the search for a cure for disputes
the prevention of disease
I willed myself not to panic
I willed my eyes to stay open
to fix a problem
staying praying that I will stay alive
crushing everything in its path
Once again my life felt lacking in direction
I tried to follow the path through the hope
I set out my aims and objectives
I’ve aimed high
all I saw, It’s only a small improvement, but at least it’s a step in the right direction
the harsh light showed up the lines on the surface
my fear showed up into my eyes
I have to find the place to hide
I struggled to hide my disappointment
a narrowly defined task
I narrowly escaped
I don’t know my path
no better place to go
the place to stay
the place to hide
my dead senses always showed me up

Well writen Ushna….. I don’t know but it sounds like you were saying that like me, you feel your efforts are inane attempts….. Don’t give up. I get told not to waste time on thing that I can not change, but these issues you raise and any attempts to change are never a waste of time even when the change can not be seen..
