freedom

Freedom come my way, get me through one more day. Searching through distant lands, grasping with my unsure hands. Clouds of sorrow that fill my veins, releasing only when it rains. Smothering thoughts, bottle in hand, forced to wear an alcoholic brand. The past remains a distant illusion, the future layered in confusion. Reamed and raped and left to DIE, just one more reason to get high. Freedom is in my sight, haunting demons to the left and right. I am the one who holds the key, unlock the past that will set me free. Swimming now when I should have drown, the bottle’s not gonna hold me down. I’ve turned around, turned around. Freedom will come my way lifting me to one sweet day.
