Artist's Description

A stream of a different sort, I guess.

This was taken on the way up to the Boroka Lookout, near Halls Gap, in the Grampians. I think the story behind this image is worth telling, so bear with me…

It was incredibly cold for a Queenslander – about 3 degrees. The wind is blowing, and thanks to a little local knowledge, I’m driving up to Boroka Lookout, camera in tow, to check it out.

Travelling on a steep single lane road, visibility down to damn near nothing. But as I was driving along, the sun broke through – bright yellow, big and bright.

I bravely (creative license, who…me?) stopped (couldn’t pull over), and took a few photos.

I’m just glad of two things – firstly, that the image worked out well, and secondly, that another driver didn’t run down the silly photographer jogging round taking photos on a fog filled morning…
