The wind whistles through this old barn like echoes from the past. So began the legacy of this old barn. At its peak, it probably was a beehive of activity. Fields nearby flourished with oats and wheat, and the list of never-ending chores kept everyone out of mischief most of the time. Still standing straight and tall, it was built from the foundation up by many skillful hands. At 12 metres high, the barn towers over the prairie like a beacon to a wandering traveller. But after years of housing a herd of cattle, a team of horses and a loft full of hay, the only animals that may be left in this barn might be a litter of stray kittens.
