Artist's Description

Dancers leading the samba band up Fleet Street. A few hundred yards later the London Metropolitan Police decided to kettle the protesters into two different groups (don’t know why Met Police were being used inside the City …possibly because the City Police were guarding other ‘high value targets’ with The Square Mile and couldn’t cover everything …but the TSG were all over The City too, so gawd knows) . Once the kettle boiled over (or as the National Press reported ‘scuffles broke out between police and protesters’) the Met backed down and let the groups rejoin. At this point the fun run started, smaller groups pealed off in different directions, all aiming for the Bank of England. Being too lazy to run I sauntered back to get my scooter that was parked near St Pauls and followed the Police helicopters to the Royal Exchange/BOE.

The sign in the background reads “A Line of Tents Guards Our Future – OCCUPY”
