Artist's Description

Taken to show the loneliness of the Thomas Telford designed chapel at Quarff, the graveyard is still used, although the chapel has not for some time. I would be quite happy being laid to rest here, with just the waves crashing on he foreshore and the gulls crying overhead. There is also a commemoration for one of the crew of HMS Hood, sunk by the Bismark in the early days of WW2.
