Glass tips of the window beside me
Cascading slightly, as they
Reflect the moon’s glowing white eyes.
Blades of sweet, sweet, pine-scented wind
and frosty streaks of onyx
swimming cautiously in the cool air around us.

My youthful lungs
Consume the soft night.
Gentle whispers rising upwards
towards a flickering bright light.

Eyes:
Pools of gold, enigmatic swirls of auburn
Descending slowly
Upon mine.

Next to my shivering body,
Lay a vision of beauty
Floating on the ground.

A cold, and steady heartbeat
Resting cozily against my shoulders
Painting memories across a frigid canvas.
Singing hymn’s of distant bliss
that was never left behind.

Snug in our embrace,
The sun’s shadow slipping;
We drove into a midnight ocean.

Streetlights fading into the darkness,
Darkness fading into time.
How long can one moment last?

Mist descends upon the dashboard.
Light seeping through the cracks.
Air thin; Air bright.

Silhouettes so tight,
a shadow of one.

Thoughts, and claims
tried in vain to shatter.
With her in my arms,
Nothing mattered.
