LAUGH

A slip of the tongue
Made her cry
It tore at her heart
And she said goodbye
In her soul
There was distrust
She played out her role
For the man she loved so much
A sadness filled the air
Again a wish to see his face
But he wasn’t there
She felt she never could erase
The love that encompassed her being
For this man who hurt her so
He was all that she was seeing
She wanted him to know
That he broke her heart that day
And she would never love another man
In the same way
Perhaps that was his plan
So that she would come back to him
Kiss him tenderly again
And forget his sin
What she will do she doesn’t know
Her heart breaking in half
Should she stay or should she go
All she did was LAUGH

LAUGH
