She sat alone playing Solitaire
No one else was ever there
Her life so lonely nothing but the game
She told herself she was not to blame
Thinking to herself let the truth be told
She wasn’t the one who destroyed the fold
It was the arguing among the ranks
Seemed as if there should be battle tanks
Always arguing night after night
She could no longer tolerate the fight
She packed a bag and said
All of you have made your bed
So continue to fight and don’t hesitate
But remember this as I close the gate
I am no longer a part of this family
From now on I set myself free
No more fights no more wars
The scars from all of you are very sore
Being the youngest I have been abused
And many times have been accused
Of breaking all of the rules
My family are a group of fools
I would have done anything to hold us together
Been with all of you through stormy weather
This is a family who only wants to fight
I’m finished with all of you after tonight
She never returned to this day
Because she is happy living in her peaceful way
She then sat back in her chair
Just happy she was alone playing Solitaire
