The Musician

He walks with his guitar slung on his back
Avoiding the crowd and the women’s attack
He writes his songs and sings them with feeling
The women in the aisles are literally kneeling
His plays his guitar with utmost skill
The vibrations give the audience a thrill
It’s a long journey from town to town
But his roadies are always around
Riding in the bus and trying to sleep
His thoughts on music always so deep
Another night..another gig
Everyone’s happy…the crowd is big
His music is great but it takes it toll
Always smiling playing the role
Of the happy musician for all to see
While dreaming of a life that’s free
The minute he stands on the stage
He is so exilerated by the rage
Compliments on his singing and his voice
He embraces his guitar..there was never a choice
