Bandit stood in a cage at the shelter. watched as the people walked by,no one seemed to notice him. All his cage mates had left . They were adopted but not him.
He was clean but he knew he was kind of scruffy and the other dogs were more
handsome than him, and he limped because of all the abuse he suffered. He had been beaten badly as a puppy, abandoned on the street, left to food and no
water. Neighborhood teenagers grabbed him and tried to set him on fire.
Fortunately someone yelled at them, they ran away and a man picked upBandit .brought him to the shelter. The man said I wish I could take him, but I don’t have the time for him. He would have loved to stay with him, because he knew this man had a warm heart. They fed him at the shelter and he had a warm place to sleep, but no one really had the time to sit and play and pet him..there were so
many other dogs and cats there that needed to be fed and cleaned.
He was there for about a month and no one even came by to see if
they wanted to adopt many other dogs found homes..but not him.
One day he heard someone approaching his cage..he heard a familiar voice..
he thought..can it be..and he looked up and there stood the man that had saved
his life. He bent down and looked at this little black dog with a white patch over
each eye and said "You’re coming home with me..I can’t get you out of my mind..
I bought you a new and we have plenty of food for you..and a big
yard to play in and Bandit was so excited..he barked..he jumped and as they opened
the cage..the man picked him up and Bandit couldn’t stop kissing him..great
big licks all over his face. He put Bandit’s new collar and leash on and they went
to the car. Bandit found a warm home, people who loved him, shelter from
the elements, and the respect he deserved.

Being an animal rights advocate, I feel that there is one message I would like
everyone to hear….if you want to share your home with a loving pet…please
ADOPT..the shelters are full of animals that have been abandoned or left to
die that need homes…the rewards of adopting a pet are boundless…the love
they give in return for your kindness is unimaginable..

Please hear their voices..look into their minds and hearts..they want you..they
want love..they want shelter.
