The Fledgling

His feathers full and new
He knows what he must do
He flaps his huge wings
While his Momma sings
The Fledgling

He flaps his wings once or twice
Thinks that feels nice
But he loves his Momma best
He stays in his nest
The Fledgling

He has his morning meal
Then he starts to feel
That he wants to fly
He looks up to the sky
The Fledgling

He takes off and swerves to a tree
And screeches look at me
He flaps his wings in flight
And takes off to high heights
The Fledging

After he circles around
He flys down
He lands in his nest
Where his Momma loves him best
The Fledgling
