Ring Man

My Grandfather was called Ringman
He wore earrings and a ring on his hand
Grandpa Frank died before I was born
And for that I am forlorn
He was a gypsy from Italy
And his blood runs through me
He wrote songs of a time past
And how love should last
He liked to play the mandolin
And tell stories that happened to him
He said he saw ghosts from time to time
And always said what was on his mind
He told fortunes to family and friends
Sadly knew when their time would end
He had the gift of E.S.P.
And Grandpa Frank passed it on to me
This was his gift to give
And gave it to me because he did not live
To see his youngest grandchild born
Since she would never hear his song
So I give praise to him this day
I thank you Ring Man in every way
