Boy, You're Going to Jail

The Judge said Boy You’re Going to Jail
You have no money for bail
Didn’t the Judge see what he had done
Was from hunger not for fun
This boy was little and very slight
And he would be spending time in jail that night
How many times have innocent men without money
Spent time in jail …it sad…not very funny
What is wrong with the system you say
It continues being unfair each day
The white collar crimes that are so severe
The Judge will not listen and will not hear
The crimes that are out of desperation
Are punished severely and not given consideration
What happened to the system
It is time for the people to listen
Just because someone is rich doesn’t give them a pass
They should be punished…their jail term to last
And those that need help and understanding
Should be given hope and given some standing
I am hopeful one day the system will change
But right now my hopes are out of range
If we speak out for the wrongs that are done
Innocent men will again walk in the sun
