The Bride

The day came quicker than she thought
Everything was ready, her dress already bought
All her bridesmaids were dressed in their gowns
They were all smiling not wearing frowns
But out came the bride unhappy as can be
Yelling and shouting he doesn’t love me
She said all go home I’m not going to marry
I’d rather marry Tom, Dick or Harry
The bridesmaids were preplexed and didn’t know why
The poor bride sat down and started to cry
She said would you like to know why I’ll not marry him
He said I was plump and not very thin
And here I am on my wedding day
My dress is so big I’m wasting away
So tell the preacher I have another plan
I’ll call him when I find the right man
The bridesmaids said don’t cancel this
You’ll forgive him as soon as he gives you a kiss
She thought that maybe they were right
And decided to forget their fight
She went to the Church and married him that night
But she never forgot the words he did say
And they haunted her every day
So one day she was dressed and going to work
And he said you gained some weight (that poor jerk)
So after the divorce he said I don’t know why
His friends said never tell a woman she’s fat…tell her a lie
So he learned from this lesson and went on with his life
He got married again and has a new wife
But now he knows the truth about weight is not to be said
If you say the wrong thing you’ll be divorced and thrown out of bed
