Lonely Fellow In the Cellar

There is a lonely fellow
Who lives in the cellar
He doesn’t comb his hair
Because he doesn’t care
He doesn’t want to meet
People in the street
Lights bother his eyes
Because he’s too wise
Crowds don’t see
Who he can be
He comes out after dark
Missing the day’s lark
Fears the people of the day
All the words they say
People think he’s rude
Maybe even crude
If they looked in his eyes
They would realize
That he’s the lonely fellow
Living in the cellar
He’s all alone
Doesn’t even have a phone
No one to call
No one at all
Just one kind word
He would be happy as a bird
He wants to be free
He doesn’t want to be
The lonely fellow
Who lives in the cellar
