Obsession

She walked past him in the daylight
She was such an amazing sight
He waited for her every day
In a very obsessive way

He fell in love with her and didn’t know why
If he couldn’t have her he would die
He started to follow her to see where she would go
He was so obsessed he had to know

He hid and waited behind an old oak tree
Seeing what he could see
He even followed her home one night
And decided to tell her of his plight

He knocked on her door and waited there
She opened it…she had just washed her hair
She invited him inside
And called her husband and went to hide

Out came this strapping big fellow
He was very angry and not very mellow
The husband wanted to know why
He followed his wife and said don’t lie

So the obsessive man did say
I follow her every day
I can’t help my feelings, I love your wife
And unfortunately the husband pulled out a knife

The story goes that he stabbed him in the heart
As he said this is for not being very smart
He wrapped his body and threw it away
And the obsessive fellow died that day

So don’t be obsessed by what you see
For there are some things that cannot be
The truth is obsession can bring about fear
And those we are obsessed with don’t want us near

Obsession
