Imprinted on my heart
You are but a Silhouette
I long to see you
Remembering the day we met
Life moved on
We went our separate ways
Promising each other
We would meet again one day
Thinking it best
That we should part
You still remain
A Silhouette on my heart

I feel your presence
Knowing it’s my imagination
You are in my thoughts
In my contemplation
Those eyes that melted
My very soul
Lips that promised
We would never grow old
Warm hands
From another lifetime
I can still feel them
As if they are touching mine

As the years passed
I tried to erase your memory
But when I close my eyes
You are all that I see
I push you away
From my dreams
But tears fall
In a stream
The way you smiled
Your deep reflection
My love for you
Was total perfection

I am engrossed
In every melody
Because it’s always
About you and me
You’re not here
But for me time stood still
I’ve always loved you
And I always will
You are now just a Silhouette
On my heart
Every thought of you
Strikes it like a dart

The pain lingers
The tears remain
I can’t hear you mentioned
Can’t hear your name
I know we will never
Find each other again
So with your Silhouette
More time I spend
I wonder if you think of me
Perhaps you do
And maybe, just maybe
I’m a Silhouette too
