BEING A SINGLE GIRL

Being a Single Girl
Is not a lonely world
That’s true
I was once single too
I flew free
It was all about me
Didn’t have to cook
Read so many books
Took care of my nails
Wore the finest pearls
All my clothes were new
My problems were few
Took care of my skin
Stood so very trim
Took time getting dressed
Always looked my best
For me romance
Was a close dance
A kiss was a plus
But certainly not a must
I gave opinions all the time
Dinner was cheese and wine
My cats were the loves of my life
Didn’t have to be anyone’s wife
I felt that I would always win
That’s how I met him
We became a duet
The day that we met
Love was what we promised
Now let me be honest
He makes my heart tingle
But I’m no longer single
